Become a member of the Band and Bugle Detachment. We are on the lookout for any boys or Girls aged 12 (year 8) to 18 to join. Meeting at Copthorne Barracks (TA Centre) Every Monday and Wednesday between 1930 hrs and 2130 hrs No previous experience required. The Bugle platoon follows the tradition of The Rifles as being Soldiers First Musicians Second. Monday being devoted to the Military Skills training and Music on the Wednesday The Platoon is particularly on the lookout for people to learn to play the Bugle, Drum or the Flute. Maybe you already have the skills and can put them to good practice on Wednesday evenings. Alternatively, if you all ready play an instrument, we are now recruiting cadets who play instruments and want to do something Different. Come and join us. As well as playing instruments, you will have the opportunity to do adventure training, shooting, D of E. You even get a chance to get a BTEC 1st Diploma in Music, equivalent to 4 GCSE A to C level.
